Panna Tiger Reserve is situated in the Vindhya mountain range, spanning the Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh. Originally declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1981, it was upgraded to a national park and later, in 1994, designated as India's 22nd tiger reserve.
The reserve is celebrated for its diverse landscapes, which include dense forests, waterfalls, and the scenic Ken River that flows through it. It is a critical habitat for wildlife, including tigers, leopards, sloth bears, deer, and over 200 species of birds. The reserve gained recognition for a successful tiger reintroduction program after their local extinction, and it received the 'National Park of Excellence Award' in 2007.
Beyond wildlife, Panna is rich in historical and natural attractions such as the Pandava Caves, Raneh Falls, and the ancient Ajaygarh Fort.

Located in Madhya Pradesh’s Vindhya Hills, Bandhavgarh was declared a national park in 1968 and covers 105 km². Named after the area’s most prominent hillock, it is known for its rich biodiversity and has one of India’s highest tiger densities. The park also supports significant populations of leopards and deer species.
Situated in the Maikal range of the Satpuras in Madhya Pradesh, Kanha is a renowned tiger reserve and one of the world’s finest wildlife areas. It spans 940 km², with the total tiger reserve covering 1,945 km² including buffer zones. The park is home to tigers, barasingha, and diverse flora and fauna. A well-developed infrastructure welcomes visitors, and popular spots like Bammi Dadar (Sunset Point) offer memorable experiences.
Straddling the Seoni and Chhindwara districts of Madhya Pradesh, Pench is named after the river that divides the park into wooded eastern and western sections. The park hosts species such as tigers, leopards, wild gaurs, deer, and monkeys. Easily accessible from National Highway 7, it has two main entry gates: Turiya and Karmajhiri.
